This is a continuation from another thread but I didn't want to highjack that thread by going off the specific topic.

No.1 : 390,000won+tax
No.2 : 450,000won+tax
No.1&4: 800,000won+tax
but No.1&2&3&4 : 800,000won+tax(ICN-BKK-AKL) + 350,000won + tax(BKK-KUL)

This is a part of another email I got from my travel agent. I tried to explain to him that 350,000won is NOT an okay price for a flight from BKK to KL. He thinks I'm being silly. My plan is to go to Malaysia for 2 weeks then Thailand for 2 so I don't understand why I have to do a stop over in BKK before I go to KL. Does this make any sense to anyone?
I asked him why I can't just get a flight going INC-KUL-BKK-AKL but it looks like I'm supposed to stop over somewhere I guess.
I don't want to go to BKK first, so why do I have to?
Booking flights makes zero sense to me whatsoever so please help understand what seems to me a little strange.

Can't help you much with the details provided by your travel agent, but I wonder why you don't check with one or two other travel agents. Just checking with one isn't a very good idea.

A few years ago, I checked with many who were all giving me prices around 1,000,000 for the flight I wanted, but then I found one for 650,000... it was worth spending the time on the phone.

As I said to you in the previous thread, korean travel agents suck big giant balls. Avoid as much as possible. Get a one way into BKK and fly from there.

The following are asian discount airlines:

www.airasia.com
www.tigerairways.com
www.jetstarasia.com

To get home, Qantas singapore has some decent online deals. If you are going to Malaysia, Singapore is just a quick hop over the border.

If you are critizing him too much for his inability to get you tickets, then do the right thing and take it into your own hands.

Quit whining around and complain to strangers on online forums.

do the above, you can get flights to kl either in BKK or online through airasia for 1/4th what he is quoting you.

that is if the bangkok airport is running, they may be going back to Don Muang soon, keep hearing about major problems at suk, thurs flights were being delayed 6 hours because of runway cracks
