While I don't particularly support their arrest, as a parent I would be worried about the influence people like this are having on younger generations. The level of historical revisionism and anti-American/Pan-Korean Nationalism that these people are generating is at epic proportions. And while there exists the need to examine history in a critical light, the blatantly partisan slogans posted by these two on the website do nothing of the sort. I believe they should be dismissed from their positions as teachers, but allowed to hold these views outside their place of employment.

It's amazing how fascist people can be in the name of... anti-fascism. The police raided teachers' homes and arrested them for expressing their opinions. What were the opinions? Apparently, they were supportive of a country where the police raid people's homes and arrest them for expressing opinions.

Jaganath69 thinks teachers should be fired for expressing their opinions. If you ask J69 about freedom of speech and individual liberty, no doubt you'll hear something very supportive. McCarthy will return. It just takes a while for people to forget.

I AGREE. And on the same grounds, I think we should fire all Christian teachers. It is part of their ideology to prosyletize, and thus they should be kept away from positions of influence over children.

I suppose I could restrict this concern to teachers actually found to be prosyletizing, instead of advocating censorship and persecution merely because of people's beliefs......

Why not just send them to North Korea? Surely that would please both parties.

You see! Everyone can get what they want. Very Happy
