I just brought a new computer and the guy recommended me to use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.... but why??
I have the latest version of IE and it seems almost the same (yes Microsoft have nicked all the good ideas) such as tabbed browsing. The only difference I see is that Firefox seems slower.... Are there any real reasons why people use Firefox instead of the usual Microsoft hatred? |

oh man where do I start... basically, think of a browser you can design and build yourself with only and all the functions you want.
That's Firefox.
Now think of one that some anonymous geek designs for you and which you can never adapt.
That's IE.
Are things clearer now |

It seems slower when I load new pages, especially pages that have alot of images. I also think that Korean pages seem slower than English languaeg ones, but that could just be me being mad...... |

I found firefox slower sometimes too, and my wife couldn't log into some of her sites for shopping and stuff, IE works fine for this though.
I now have Opera, Firefox, IE and use Opera as my main one (saves passwords real easy and works quicker than IE).
Any problem sites, you can always switch browser really easy. |
