In Canada, I bought a system that allows me to surf the net wirelessly (provided there's a signal nearby).
I tried it here in Korea at the local libary and it didn't work. However, I saw someone else successfully surfing the Internet using a wireless system.
So what's wrong? |

Technology is the same... perhaps your current setup is not correct or it was looking for the wireless from home for an auto connect.
Click on the wireless icon on the toolbar and view all available networks and select one that is open to you.
Alternatively you can subscribe to netopia or one of the other wireless networks. They have hotspots all over the country. |

I tried that, but the computer told me: "No wireless networks withing range," or something to that effect, but a few desks away, I saw someone surfing the Internet with a wireless system that looked similar to mine. |

I can tell you that my Canadian purchased laptop works wireless and wired here with no trouble and my Korean one works fine (from personal experience) as a wireless in Canada, the States, Thailand, the Philippines and China.
