I agree with Greatest American Hero, a million times over. That song is so damn catchy.

But aren't you forgetting:

The Jeffersons

I Consider David Schwartz to be the man:
He did arrested development, Deadwood, and northern exposure
Listen here:

And Thomas Newman, 6 feet under
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KYAe0qwg9Yw
T Newman did the music for American Beauty too.

I also think that I like they Grey's Anatomy theme song (when it plays through...so never), though to be true, I'm not a big fan of the show.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=wlGvGKDm29s...yes, yes I like that. Who is the singer?

All in the Family - "Those Were the Days". Love the lyrics as it descibes long gone simpler days. Also, Maureen Stapleton deliberately butchered it for effect (to be Edith). In real life, she has a great voice.

I agree with doogie. That was the best. I just want to add the 'Andy Griffths Show and 'The Fresh Prince of Bell Air' (SP). A bit weak but stuck in the memory.

No lyrics, but this always inspired a "Mom, can we eat dinner in the den?"

Emergency!
