Sorry people, no one has posted, so I have to do it.
Super 14 starts Friday night-Blues vs Crusaders. A big year for rugby and this is just the start.
I want to say 'good luck to Korea', for the match against Tonga in February, for a world cup spot. I hope you win (mainly because I'm tired of rugby being confused with American football), and, it will help to spread the game in Asia.
I know, most non Kiwi, Aussie, and South African expats will have little interest, but I think Irish, English, Scottish, and Walsh expats should also take note.

Anyway, my predictions for the opening round:

1) Blues to beat Crusaders (even though I'm a Rednblack man)
2) Force to beat Highlanders
3) Cheetahs to beat Stormers
4) Lions to beat Waratahs
5) Chiefs to beat Brumbies
6) Hurricanes to beat Reds
7) Sharks to beat Bulls.

What 's your punt for the round? Do you think Canterbury will be there at the end? If not, who?

As a Queenslander I can honestly say this. Reds to lose everything whilst that muppet Jones is there.

By-the-way, 'wormholes' was a gentleman and gave me membership to 'aussiestorrents, last year. As I also now have some invites to give away, if there are any true rugby fans out there, give me a PM. This is a torrent that allows you to download most Rugby games, albiet 12 hours late.

Jaganath. Sorry mate, I have to agree. I'm a total Queensland Rugby League fan, ( and a Kiwi), but rugby... well somethings wrong.

Rnb

I think that you're pretty much on the money for the first round;
those Waratahs always start the season well (from memory) however

I have been tuning into http://www.radiosport.co.nz/ for live cricket lately, but the bugggers turn off their live feed whenever Aussie aren't playing-
love their cricket commentators,
but that spoon Greg Clarke couldn't call a cab let alone a footy game!

That would be for the origin, right? At least your bread is buttered on the right side there. As for NZ teams, how do you see Waikato performing this year? They are my defacto shaky islands team as I had a good mate who barracked for them at uni.

Jaganath.
Yes, Queensland origin, not country or the local competition.
I think the Chiefs will have a good season. I would even say top 4. They have real pace and talent in the backs, and a forward pack equal to the best. They do however have a difficult start. Brumbies and Hurricanes at home and then off to South Africa for 3 games.
