so as far as i know, there wasn't a gathering this past weekend, so here i am, taking the initiative. when would be best for you? february 3 is next saturday night, february 10 is the night before the ladies lunch.
i think the 10th is the best night, lots of ladies will be in town for the lunch, making it less of a sausage party.
what say you?
of course if it did happen last weekend, then this is all irrelevant isn't it?

I've been lurking for a while now and would be up for it. The 10th is better for me as I already have plans for the 3rd - but they may be able to be changed if the 3rd is better for others.

I like the idea of a lot of us waygookins meeting up, but the only thing that's weird is having to introduce yourself as your real name, and then your user name. That alone makes me not want to go. It's so awkward.

That's why I think nametags would be cool. If you have a person at the front door handing out nametags, I'll go.

Only if they are those "Hello! My name is...." nametags.

And I might be game for going. I'm due up for a trip out of this little town. Just make it someplace that I can find easily! Laughing

Oh please, please, PLEASE tell me this is true. I had plans to attend, but with moving last week and all the hectic hassles of starting a new job I got all confused and thought the thing was this coming weekend and thought I'd missed it.

Got something cooking for the 3rd (day after Groundhog Day), so the 10th works for me.

I nominate Q as chairman of the name tag committee.

I am up for it. I am hoping new meat is welcome. I am still warm from when the recruiter dropped me off at the school Smile

My solution is to not introduce myself with my user name. Saves all the netnerd hassles.

Feb 10th. I think maybe we should make a game out of the name situation. Maybe we can incorporate the avatars somehow? I guess that would only work for those of us who are on here a lot. I bet I could guess who everyone is based on a set of clues about their avatar.

I personally don't mind giving my real name then my handle underneath it, but it would be more fun to dress up as James Joyce. His birthday is Feb 2nd. Just thought I'd mention it.

hey quinella, you wanna do name-tag duty? i agree with you on using our online names, if we can make our own name tags, then we've got the option of what name we want to use.
so it looks like feb. 10 is the more popular night. does big rock brewery in gangnam still appeal? the beer is quite tasty, the space is nice, and it's relatively central.
i work until 8:30 on saturdays, can't make it there before 10pm, so i can't take on being a "greeter" or whatever. i think we should get started a bit earlier than that, it being saturday night in gangnam, the place will likely get pretty crowded.
any thoughts?

Is there an annual quota on how many get-togethers there can be?
