Well, according to my hygrometer, the humidity in my office at this time is 35%. I use a humidifyer a fair amount. It's off now. Some people's places it's like 22-25%. Winters in Korea tend to be dry. Hanging up wet laundry or a towel is an awesome idea. Or shower with your bathroom door open~ if that is possible.

Solid-top guitars enjoy ideal conditions of about 45% humidity. Laminated tops are for pussies. Wink Laughing In addition, you need to be mindful of the necks. Not enough humidity and you can get some pretty nasty warpage (and we ain't talking Star Trek here). Someone is on their way over here to get an action/truss rod adjustment as I write this. Warpage sucks!

One other things. If someone is getting a bit of fret-buzz. It'll Depend on where the buzzing is happening of course. But one option might be to change to a higher gague of string.

Here's a great website for learning an instrument. I'm presently working on my mandolin skills at the moment. The link is for beginner acoustic guitar lessons. Yeah for musicmoose!!

hey guys, thanks. I know about the stretching. First piece of advice that was given to me.

It wasn't a fret buzz so much as a dead note. Trust me, I know fret buzz. But they play fine now. I figured out what the problem was: I can't play very well yet.

Hah hah hah!
