All of us have a student from hell. What was the worst thing he or she has done to you?
I had a 5th-grade punk (Dan) aim a slingshot at my face. I kicked him out of class and took him to the director. The director blew the incident off.
Yesterday, that kid came in a couple of hours early and picked on a girl (Mary) from a different class. She beat the living snot out of him, and he ran out of the hagwon, crying. Later on, he didn't act humiliated; he was as obnoxious as ever. I REALLY wanted to say, "Hey, do I have to call Mary in here?" |

Yes, there's always that one student who wants your attention in the worst way. I removed a slingshot from a student's hands as soon as he began to raise it toward my face, stuck it in my pocket, and made him walk 10 times up & down an extremely long hallway with his hands above his head. It never happened again. |

Hey oreo, how are things going for you by the way? I remember whenever you first came on here when you were fresh off the boat. How have you adjusted? Having a good life/job? |

I think Quinella did a thread on this - you'd probably enjoy looking it up. |

i had the worst kid ever last year - name was daniel. might as well have been damien. this could would throw tables and chairs, hit other students, use the worst language know to man (in english and korean) and i'm not talking about an innocent 'babo' here - this kid knew the whole routine. he never studied, spent the whole class disrupting everyone - and to top it all, he was only 8 years old and one of the ugliest kids i've ever seen. director didnt do a thing about him the whole time i was there. in the end, as soon as i came to class, i would send him out directly. and not let him back in until the end of the lesson. |

I am finishing up my first two years of teaching this month. In that time
I managed to get at least eight kids to quit because of me. I was a teacher to the other 200 kids but I was an absolute *beep* to the remaining eight as$holes. I have four losses at my current hakwon and my coworkers, Korean and foreigner, were ecstatic.
I leave you with my brother's words: you cant shine $hit. I want to tell my problem student's parents "to save all the money that you are spending on your child's education. Use it to remodel your basement because that is where your son will be living for the rest of his life." |
