Hi- it sounds like there are some great get togethers with some really cool people coming up-but what about those of us who don't live in Seoul? Are there any of you out there? The ladies lunch and potential gathering sound great, but alas- I can't trek it all the way to Seoul, just to come back a few hours later (I live in Busan). Is there anyone outside of the Seoul area who might want to have a get together???

I'd be up for a not-in-Seoul get together, especially since the February 10 thing is looking undoable for me since I might have work stuff that weekend.

Busan would be lovely. Not as long of a trip for me. The only problem is that I am not as familiar with it and might need a recommendation of where to stay for the night!

Busan's an easy trip for me... I'd definately join a gathering there, it'd be cool to meet some people who know the city.

If I'm not mistaken, 'Dave's' get togethers held in Busan have to be called "Doug's get togethers" because of copyright regulations.

Though I am making the trek up to Seoul for the Ladies Lunch, I would definitely be up for something in Busan, too, since it's only an hour away from me.

Well, I live in Busan and I would LOVE to do a get together. I can organize it for everyone if you like.

We can go to one of the basic foreign bars or, I know of a brew house (well two) that we could go to.

There is one in oncheonjang right in the building of the spa. It's pretty expensive for food though (I don't remember the specifics).

There is another one in Seomyeon behind the Lotte. I've heard it's pretty dang good food and the beer, though nothing outrageous. The price is also pretty good.

During the vacation? We could do ours on feb 10?

Yes, I am up to going to Busan on February 17th and 18th and I have the 17th through 19th off for Lunar New Year. YAY! This will be my first time going to Busan as I just arrived in Korea for my 1st time 4 weeks ago. I am in Changwon, near Gimhae, Masan, and Busan and I really like it. I feel very eager to learn more on what and how do it all here.
I think this would be cool to meet up with ya' all. Smile
