Yes, I apologize about some of my posts here, particularly regarding fat Canucks. I've no beef. It's just that after six years of experience here, I've found my biggest pain to be some Canadians who are 'joy happy.'


They've found release, some instigating reason. Like Canadians can really withstand the political mayhem inherent in the Cree Indians you're soaking in shame, but must lash out at Americans for standing in some uncertain land, uncertain future, uncertain political clime.

Then you lash out, as if 'it's our fault', making some Americans, like me, all the more forlorn. Like I shouldn't speak up, strike back, make a point?

It then seems, they sink into politics and put America, ie., Bush, down, never realizing we're neighbors. No one from America puts Canadians down. You visit our beaches, some straining for indifference. Othes ask for love while their crippled husband is at home waning. Most skirt by, without a reply, they being perhaps someone who's never to understand Why? But they love the nature and what we've saved from these lies.

These lies, I say. Think about it. It's Korea bringing this out of you all, since I certainly don't know of any Canadian forum back home whereby you'd speak as such against a land, like your own, susceptible, politically vulnerable, volaltile, voiceless?

You just leave this long haired hippy alone.

Maybe Americans don't realise they're insulting Canada. All that "51st state" crap and "United States of Canada/Jesusland" garbage shows that Americans don't think of Canada as much of a country. I consider Americans to be equal to me, but there are a lot of Americans who don't consider Canadians to be real people. Just look at that Canadian who was just deported to Sudan or some place to be tortured recently.

Sometimes for better, and admittedly sometimes for worse (recently), when you brazenly play center stage (on many levels), you stand out and you KNOW you stand out.

Americans generally know the world is very aware of what happens in their country. Do you live in Korea? Look at the media. It's the same in many other countries of the world.

Canada simply doesn't garner the same attention on the world stage. Right now, I am envious of Canada. We Americans currently have crap as leadership. But there is a sense we will work through this.

Point is, Americans just feel like Canada is a great neighbor, but the action and drama is taking place down south.
