I cannot speak more highly of Dr.Sung's ob/gyn clinic in Hannam-dong (near Itaewon) in Seoul.

Let's just say that after months (literally) of going to some other hack doctor, I went to Dr. Sung and she was quick to discover the problem. I'd also like to add that I'm almost more comfortable going to her with my girl issues than I am with my female doctor back home. The office is REALLY nice too ... hehe Smile

Everyone at the office speaks English. Just say "hello" when they answer the phone and they'll switch from Korean to English. The first visit costs 30,000 won (without insurance).

I second Dr Sung. All female staff. And for what it's worth, I saw many other foreign women at that clinic which is a recommendation in and of itself.

I've got a great dr in Incheon but he doesn't do major surgeries unfortunately. I've had some problems in that area recently and needed surgery and ended up in another hospital in town with an unknown dr.

I suggest SamSung Hospital near Ttoksu gung palace. They have an amazing ob/gyn staff. The only reason I didn't go to SamSung is it would have been too far for my husband to drive everyday when I was laid up.

My wife had them and she went to Miz Medi, which is a chain of OBGYN clinics in Seoul. Since Dr.Hwang was discredited for a shameful lack of ethics, I'm a little worried about his partnership with that company but the usually seemed to do right by her.
