I've always loved this guy all the way back to his early days as the menacing vocalist of the punk band Black Flag. He has attitude and doesn't mince his words.

He has a new TV show called The Henry Rollins Show. Has anybody out there seen it? I understnad that he has all kinds of cool guests like Thom Yorke from Radiohead.

Write an email to AFN and ask them to get this show pronto!

Henry throws a fit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wnexu_eGyYs

Thom Yorke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bblZAqIAQhc

Cool and Thom Yorke in the same sentence? Yorke is a pompous, untalented idiot.

The show is on a small channel called IFC, I think. It was an expansion of a previous gig he was doing for them called "Henry's Film Corner" or something like that. The calibre of guests he's able to attract considering the obscurity of the show is damned impressive. Jeff Bridges, Billy Bob Thornton, etc. I doubt AFN would appreciate all the blue language though. It's 100% uncensored.

hmmm....
I'm thinkin' that the content (i.e. having a bit of a problem with bush, rove, etc....) is probably more of a problem than the dirty words.

Rollins has talent, but he's kind of phoney. He acted like he's a bad ass, but he's more of a little girl.

Rollins is an egomaniac.

Thom Yorke is a number of words I'm not even going to try to get past autocensor.

How do I question his masculinity when I'm sure he gets laid much more than I do?

It's probably no worse than many of the other talkshows.

I'm a big fan of Henry Rollins. But I don't like his show. I'm interested in what Henry has to say, which is why I like to see him as a guest and not as a host. I wish he'd forget show biz and work on making better albums. Weight was awesome, the tour was awesome, and the spoken word stuff that followed was cool as well. But the last few albums were fairly weak.

The IFC web site has lots of video from the show you can watch, including most of the musical guests performing: Daniel Johnston, Dinosaur Jr. and Thom Yorke.

I don't get it - All I ever hear is guys going on and on about Radio Head and how great they are.

It's always sounded like crap to me.

I agree. As for Radiohead...The Bends was great at the time.

I can't stand HR Show. The music is good, but his interviewing skills seem like he:

A) Can't remember his questions

B) Is fighting tourettes syndrome

C) Is having some sort of shellshock.

Dunno...maybe just on the whopping two shows/segments of that I actually watched.

!shoosh,

Ryst
