If an employer states they will reimburse oneway, does that mean I need to buy a one way ticket to Korea and then they will pay me that ticket(in Won) back within 2 weeks? or will they issue a return ticket to me at the end of the contract?
Or can i buy a return ticket and expect them to pay half the amount when i arrive?
Im going on for a short-term contract, with teh possibility of extending the contract. So i dont know whether to buy single or return........any suggestions? I will be on E-2 visa |

What does your contract say?
Shouldn't this be addressed to your employer or agent? |

if ur on an e2 ur short term contract is 12 months
most schools want the teacher to get a one way ticket and
then they pay for a one way ticket home later but it's up to u.
If u buy a return ticket, it will probably have to be an open ticket and u dont see the other 50% for 12 months but on the other hand, if u hate
the school/korea and want to leave, u already have a ticket as a back up |

The standard with hogwans is to pay the airfare for the English teacher upfront before they leave their home country. The hogwan will typically arrange this through a travel agency which will provide an e-ticket to the teacher before his or her departure to Korea. |

I wouldn't take any hogwan job that does not provide the ticket upfront. Public schools, yes. Hagwons, no. |
