This morning on Good Morning America (pap drivel, I know...), I couldn't help but notice that they spent about 30 seconds talking about the game itself, then about a good 5 minutes just talking about the commercials.
Nobody (well, maybe a handful of people) even cares about the game itself anymore. Within three weeks, you could ask any random Joe/Jane on the street and they'll probably be unable to tell you who even played in the game, let alone who won. But, they'll tell you all about the K-Fed commercial, or the new Budweiser ad, or the one with Sheryl Crowe... 
We come from a truly strange "culture", indeed. |
