I'm dying here! Anyone else work in the countryside and have absolutely nothing to do during the week? And worse still, are any of you fellow countryside employees bored at work and have no one interesting to talk to there?
So many people on here seem to be doing cool stuff and having a great time during the week after work. I need to know there's people in my shoes out there! AAhhhhhhhhh! |

Making homebrew, downloading music and videos, and travelling are among the options. Also, if you like sport or exercise, you can try to arrange to play badminton, soccer etc or go hiking with your co-workers.

Drink with the locals, even if you don't speak Korean. You'll never pay for your drinks, ever.

If you can join a gym, do it -- work out 4 days a week. I've lost 4 kilos in the last 5 weeks, and am enjoying it a lot!

Buy a decent bicycle, and discover all the little hamlets in your area.

I'm a musician. I never (well, almost never) get bored. When you're a musician there's always something new and interesting to learn musically and to practice until you get it right.
Hours, days, months, years of endless fun. (Depending on your definition of fun, of course;->)
OK. Sorry about the multiple posts. It was an accident born of frustration. Though I seldom get bored, I do get frustrated when I click to submit a post and nothing happens. And I wait for several minutes and still nothing happens. Then I click it several times and still nothing happens. Then, I think to myself, maybe something did happen and I posted it multiple times unintentionally.
Yes, that's what happened and I tried to get back in here and delete all the extra posts but wasn't able to. Sorry.
That said, I still say a love of playing music can sustain one and help to avoid boredom under sometimes difficult circumstances.
Cheers.
(I don't click multiple times this time no matter what this bloody computer, website, whatever does when I click "Submit.")
