I wanna trick my Korean friends, who think they're so good at eating spicy stuff, by secretly dumping some painfully hot sauce in some food that I make. Can you help me with my fiendish plot?

If you can find this anywhere (Namdaemun market would be my first suggestion), then it should do the trick.

Can't get it in Korea, but you can buy it online for sure (I get my supply whenever I go home for a visit, though). It is called (seriously) "The Hottest F***ing Sauce". I bought it as a gag the first time I saw it. The label is hilarous, going on and on about how f***ing hot this stuff is and you are an idiot if you try it.

Ha ha. Very funny. I've honed my iron stomach over the years, so I can eat ANYthing hot without batting an eye. Bring it on.

Mistake. The label is not a joke. It is the hottest stuff I'd ever had. Absolutely brutal! Other sauces can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/jgano2/hot_sauce_guide.htm

Anything hot you find here is going to be by accident,unless perhaps you can get some dried chillis from an International market and make your own sauce by pulverising them and adding some spices and vinegar and water(I guess that's how it goes)

I love cooking supershit hot food for Koreans,they come out with remarks like "My mouth is sick"

It's the ajosshis I would want to get though when they start up with the ho,ho,he can't eat spicy food...michin nom....ho,ho......

.Take out my sauce bottle and add a few drops to their bbq portion.How do you like dem apples??

you should be able to find habanero sauce (or just plain habaneros) at namdaemun Wink might have to look for a while though

Nobody on earth can eat hotter than 3.0 curry on his or her first visit. I ate 2.7 my first time and got dizzy. I almost felt drunk. The food is great and gives a whole new meaning to the word "spicy". I like most Korean food, but it isn't even on the same planet as the food in this place when it comes to spice factor. Many a Korean has been humbled at this place, I'm sure.

It's a great idea but don't get too carried away. I had a friend who ran to the washroom vomitting after a small dab of habenero sauce.

What Koreans don't seem to realise is that different kinds peppers take getting used to. I was on a Royal Thai flight to Incheon where they were serving spicy chicken curry and a lot of the Koreans were having trouble with it, but the some of the same people could probably sit down and eat a lot more Korean peppers dipped in garlic paste than most Thais.

I've seen a place like that on TV but couldn't see any signs to identify it. I think it was a similar place though, as they had 1-6 for spicyness. Cheers though.

Vodka would probably fall into the same category.

Yeah....you might not want them firing at both ends if it's at your house. Embarassed

I tried that stuff. Pretty high on the hotness scale. My buddy used it whenever he craved a cigarrette. He doesn't smoke anymore, but now he always has to emphasize he really does want the suicide wings. A hotter sauce that won't send some Korean to the hospital is "Dave's Wax Remover" . It's not cheap but it is well worth the $12 CAN for it.

You should ask the_beaver. He had a bottle of something that had a wax cover (it was so hot, it was dangerous to touch it with your skin). He would make his "suicide" chicken wings with it. A few Koreans who thought they could handle it were sadly and hilariously mistaken.

Side story: A Canadian friend of ours, after eating said wings, went to the bathroom to take a leak. When he came out he seemed to be in considerable discomfort. He reluctantly admitted he hadn't washed his hands (after eating the wings) and had guided his gochu at the urinal. Ouch.

Blair's 4 AM. Ordered it online. There's probably 5 AM now. It's almost pure capsaicin (well, maybe not, but it's fucking hot).

My Korean restaurant owner friend acquired a bottle of synthetic hot sauce. It's made from chemicals or something in a lab. One drop on my tounge had me sweating for 30 minutes. I could find out it's name if you really want......

Maybe the same stuff as the "wax remover" But Dave's Insanity sauce is pretty brutal- and similarly wax sealed if I remember correctly. I know that when making chili we used a toothpick dipped in it as the measuring device. Also "Dave's Insanity" seems quite fitting for this community. Cool
