US pension refund- 12 months or 18 months?

hey, tried unsucessfully to get a difinitive answer...

can americans claim a pension refund after a 12 month contract? or do they have to contribute for 18 months?

I beleive that you can get what was put into it whenever you leave Korea. Just go to the Pension office and apply for it. I'm not 100% on this however.

You can claim your pension even after one month. As long as you contributed to it, it's YOUR money, and you can get it back.

You can get your pension 2 months after you apply and leave Korea. Apply for it yourself, don't leave it up to the school to do it because they won't do it.

And again, I just want to say that you can apply for your pension even if you choose to stay in Korea. And if a person does it this way (using their Korean bank account) they can get the money in 2 weeks.

Dream that one up, Kalkamagi? Actually, I think you have to do two , 22 month contracts.

no, but i did dream last night that i used scissors to cut off my cats 2 front legs.

i remember poking around the pension office site a year or so back and seeing the Canada= 12 months, US=18 months thing. i really hope i'm wrong....
