I now have sensors on my case fans (the two 120mm fans). I can tell they are being controlled by the computer. How do I set the standards for the fans? Anyone?

Google is your Friend...

There is an app called speed fan if your fans are attached to you mobo.. Or your mobo might have special control software and OR you can Use MBM5(Not sure if they make it any more)

hmm...I will open up the BIOS when I get home. It looks like there is an option in there (from what I have read on the intel site) to control the fans.

I know Asus use "Q fan", which will throttle down the fans if the temps are low. This is found in the BIOS.

Personally, I wouldn't use any third-party software to control fan speeds. Use MBM5 to monitor temps and purchase a fan speed controller and do it manually.

well..that's the thing. I have speed controllers on all ofthem. throttled, they hover around 700RPM. on low, they are at 350rpm. They do fluxuate depending on how intense I am running something. The more intense, the higher the speed. Keep in mind though, my processor idle temp is now around 34 to 35 celcius. So, i guess you can say the bios isdoing what it is supposed to be doing i.e. cooler temperatures = throttling down of fans = energy saving.
