I downloaded this WinXP Black Edition the other day, and I want to try and install it....I was planning on reformatting my hard drive and doing a clean install (I have a dvd w/all of my necessary drivers on them), but I'm worried that this might be buggy or not work well.
I have plenty of hard drive space...Is it possible to install this on a separate partitioned drive, and that way I can see if it works well without getting rid of my old XP?
I have to install it from a DVD if that affects anything... |

Yes, make a new partition on the same or another drive. I like Acronis Disk Director to do partitions but there are other ways also. Then boot from the dvd and install.
Be aware that there are many "tweaked/homemade" Xps floating around. They run fine for some people's machines and not for others. |
