Hey there.

I'm in my 2nd year in the same (small) town. Now in the PS system.
1st year was spent in a Hogwan where I was farmed out to the local college for a few different classes a week.

Yesterday I received a call from the college asking me back to teach an evening class. 2 hours a week for the 15 week semester starting 5th Mar. Adult class 12 people. 7-9pm.

The student specifically asked for me, thats why they called.

If I get clearance from my school principle. How much do you think is a reasonable asking price?
Should I charge per hour/month/one off fee for 15 week block?

Advice appreciated as Im probably going to get a call soon asking me!

Thanks

Ask for 75 and settle for 50 - 60..remember you not only have to teach the class you have to prep for it and spend time getting there and back. Actually,75 - 100 per hr would be more appropriate, IMHO.

More than likely, they'll state a wage that they always pay part time instructors. They'll just assume that you should be happy to get what they throw your way, and will not understand why you become upset with them over it.
