Anyone buying Solal gifts for the boss or coworkers? If you are what are you buying? Approximately how much are you spending? I see some really nice things in the stores but I'm not sure what's appropriate. |

My usual answer is to give a bottle of wine to the boss/supervisor. I have never given or seen one given to a co-worker. (I also give one to the cook)
My new boss does not drink, and she does not cook, so this year I am clueless.
I also can use some advice.
As far as how much to spend, I will spend up to 35,000 won on my boss/supervisor, and the same thing for the cook. |

Thanks, that's about what I was thinking. At my school there's only the 3 of us, the boss (female), a Korean teacher (female), and me (female). I'm also the youngest by two years, so I know that traditionally that might have an effect on the gift as well. |

We have all seen and laughed about the gift sets. Please do not give Spam. (I asked my kids "what is your favorite food" and one kid screamed "SPAM", and I screamed "YUK")
If I have to get a gift set, I will most likely get honey. Do not stress about it. What ever you get will be really appreciated. |

I'm giving the boss a lump of coal and telling him it's a 'western' tradition. |

I'm giving my director a bottle of my father's waaaay overproof homemade moonshine made from apricots grown in my home town.
"Rocket fuel," I will say. |
