I was in the bookstore at Coex tonight looking at Korean language study guides. One of them was called Korean for Chinese, another was called Korean for Japanese, and the other one was called Korean for Foreigners. What a joke!!! Get a clue!!! So, I am the only foreigner huh? Chinese and Japanese are foreigners too. They may be Asian but they are STILL foreigners. Give me a freaking break!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. The Chinese and Japaneses should have been labeled 'foreign,' and us Anglophones, 'foreigner.' Or if the Asians want to be 'foreigner', then we could be 'foreigner-ers'. You must admit, we are more foreign than them.
And for something like, say, Finnish, or Navajo, they could be 'foreignest.'

I heard that book had Hangeul translations of the lyrics to "I want to know what love is" and "Waiting for a girl like you".

if it's the same 'korean for foreigners' i used a while back, the vocabulary is translated in both english and japanese. 'korean for foreigners' is a little less cumbersome than 'korean for anglophiles and japanese speakers'. i found it to be a good book to study with.

Korean culture is baffling to me in many ways. Why do many Koreans desire designer shoes with a back, and then they break them down by walking on them, in effect creating a slide or mule. Why not just buy a pair of shoes that have no back already, if appearance is so important?

Yep, he's playing a little game. You have to read a LOT of threads to get it though. I'm on holidays, feelin' sluggish and blue, which is my excuse for being on here all day. Princess brings a lot of joy to my life though- don't chase her away.

Too true!

It's hard to be Princess. Shopping correctly and hanging on to her bar manager boyfriend leaves so little time for her to post on Dave's. How does she juggle all these fascinating aspects of her life and still have time to share them with us......Be grateful!.....be very grateful!!

I found the tortilla factory in Incheon today. They even sell cheese there. Unfortunately, it's in 2.5 kg chunks. Actually, I believe it's a shredded mozeralla-cheddar mix. But still. 2.5 kg!?! OMG. Who can eat 2.5 kg of cheese?

I'd give it my best shot! Could I use it for things like sandwiches and cheese on toast, or are you just talking pure cheese?

I go through about 750g of edam, 200g of feta and brie and about 100g of parmesan every week, and that's just by myself. 2.5kg isn't that much to deal with.
