Living in the East (and in another hemisphere) throws off my relationship with the physical environment. I was trying to figure out why it was so warm in February, thinking about a delayed winter when someone on another thread threw in "입춘" and that the Start of Spring had already begun here. Then I found this: "While the Year of the Fire Dog last year started on Jan. 29, the coming Year of the Fire Boar starts on Feb. 18, well after Feb. 3 to 5 which is the start of spring in the Chinese lunar calendar. "Last year, we had a double spring-one at the start of the year and another one at the tail end of the year, this coming February," Allen explained.

That site also said this: "However the coming Year of the Fire Boar does not have spring at all." 이상 해. How can there not be a spring?

Fireboar DOES NOT like it when you question his authoritI.

IMO Korea has no real Spring because of the merging with the beginning of rainy season. It's like Rain, Summer, Fall, Winter. Maybe 4 distinct seasons but not the same 4. same same but different. I respect the argument that fall is really short and that maybe Korea only has 3 seasons. Does anyone care?
Not really.
Are those people that do care retarded for caring?
Yes... with a tincture of No
