hello all,

just a note to say if your employer isnt paying medical insurance for you - LEAVE THAT JOB or demand to get it. i just had a ruptured appendix that required immediate surgery yesterday, and without that insurance i would have been screwed. i just dont want any fellow dave's members to end up in a bad situation!

Ruptured? Yesterday? You're up and about fast. Must be the kimchi.

In my 4.5 years here, I have had 3 teachers go down with a ruptured appendix... we thought for awhile there must have been something in the food, it was an odd coincedence. They were all happy to have insurance, as the total cost was 1.6 mil, but because of insurance, they only paid 600,000 won. Not bad for paying around 35,000 for insurance every month.

Hope you feel better.

BTW, one of the teachers demanded to be released early, because his roommate started peeing all over the room. Hope this isn't happening to you. Laughing
