For women, nothing's like the smell of men's sweat By Will Dunham
Wed Feb 7, 5:36 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - For women, apparently there's nothing like the smell of a man's sweat.

Researchers at the University of California at Berkeley said women who sniffed a chemical found in male sweat experienced elevated levels of an important hormone, along with higher sexual arousal, faster heart rate and other effects.

[Just don't show up all sweaty to your gal for Valentine's Day:) citing this article.]
They said the study, published this week in the Journal of Neuroscience, represents the first direct evidence that people secrete a scent that influences the hormones of the opposite sex.

Reminds me of a programme I saw one time where blindfolded women were correctly able to identify shirts worn by their husbands from a bundle of other men's shirts.......by smelling them!

They can also find their kids' clothes by smell.

I think the only possible conclusion is that women are descended from bloodhounds, not monkeys.

Note: Moms are also capable of hearing their drunk kid tip-toeing in the door long after cerfew.

Are you alleging a less than ethical relationship between Dr. Pavlov and his dog(s)?

I think BO can scare a girl away, but if you give her enough time she slowly gets used to it.

On a more morbid note, I read that mothers of soldiers are advised to keep at least one of their child's unwashed shirts if he goes off to war. This is because if a soldier dies, the army washes all of their clothes before sending them back and many mothers are saddened to find that they will never be able to smell their child again.
