Hey, Anyone know for certain if u can buy a region free dvd player here. I got some dvds off amazon and discovered they won't go on my player. I thought I had a region free as it had a picture of ALL and No 3 in the user guide. At the time I bought it I also took a variety of dvds and played them on the player before I bought it. However it seems maybe I didn't try any Region 1 ones. Bugger.
Wondering whether just to wait until i head home to buy one there or pick one up here so I can watch my dvds soon.

Yes, very easy to buy at either Youngsan or at the big new/used electronics market, East next to Dongdaemun, along Chonggyechon in Seoul. If you haven't seen that area near Chonggyechon, it's worth a look, just for fun. The've got more old crap there than you can shake a stick at. Some new stuff, too, including Chinese DVD players that play everything. Oh, and if anyone ever told you that Korea is a conservative place, you'll get a laugh, as there are porn shops every 5 stores along that area of Chonggychon (mixed in between all of the other stuff).
