My computer and TV are both getting to old and sad.

I want to replace them with a computer that can act as a TV and a computer monitor. I want the computer monitor to take the input from my cable provider.

Is there a computer monitor that can do this? Cost model #?

Thanks

just ask. I bought my 19" lcd monitor 2 years ago and it also doubles as a TV. Cost at that time was 400,000 but it would be alot cheaper now.

I got a 19" widescreen lcd with a built in speaker tha also handles cable TV. Has 4 different inputs actually. Came with a remote too. Brand name is MOTV I bought it online at gmarket for about 250 I think, 6 months ago. Am really happy with it thus far.

How about this one:

http://www.goyongsan.co.kr/newshop/scripts/readprod_1.asp?gp_code=75570418

From what I can work out:

THE GOOD:
1080p - is this the same as full HD???
Variety of inputs, including RF
internal speakers
Picture-in-picture function
Great adjustability

THE BAD:
Only one type of each input
No HDMI
That stand is uuuugleee!

What do you guys think? Any alarm bells?

We've had a Samsung SyncMaster Magic CX710MP for just under three years and have loved it. Sound is good from speakers and the screen is loverly. Bear in mind that watching TV on a computer monitor will not give you the quality of a TV that you're used to. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

nice. 1080p is HD. i don't think hdmi is a problem. i don't think u are gonna be getting symphony quality sound out of the TV speakers anyway. at 570,000. it is getting a little pricey for 24 inch.

what do you think of this baby....

the refresh rate isn't that great but its 32 inches! for only 100,000 more.

No HDMI is why it's cheap (among other things).
