| For some reason when I try to update my file definitions it won't update. It just says Error retrieving file when I click on web update.. anyone else have this problem? the website isn't very helpful since i'm using the free copy.. but i've tried the suggestions in their FAQ(turning firewall off etc etc) and nothing seems to work..I even uninstalled it and downloaded it again and reinstalled it to the same effect.... |

| Not the best of programs anyway. Sometimes anti-virus software conflicts with adware. Try to turn off the anti-virus software when you install and upgrade..then turn it back on. |

| Are you running another firewall, like Zonealarm, and have it set to block the updates? |

| Yes, check any "blocking" programs you may have. Things like peerguardian, firewalls, spyblockers...might be blocking your updates. |

| I have Avast antivirus.. It was never a problem before to get it updated. It updated the other day with no problems.. I don't run any other blocking programs.. |
