Sometimes when I convert an avi file to dvd and play on my dvd player , I don't have any vertical hold. Any ideas?

Sounds like a PAL/NTSC issue which has to do with lines of resolution and frame rate. Be sure you convert to NTSC format dvd if you want to play it on a Korean TV/DVD. Most new tvs/dvds play both however. How old is your setup?

my dvd burner and dvd player are about 6months old.

The burner is not the issue. The vertical hold prob could mean that the TV can't display a PAL signal. Do you allways select NTSC when burning to dvd? If you do then you should have no V Hold issues.

I just change my setting to NTSC. I'm going to re-convert and burn again. Thanks for the help.

just converted and burned "Children of Men" using NTSC. Works great. Thanks for the info.
