Anyone know where I can find an English-speaking travel agent in Daegu? I've heard there's one near the Manchon E-mart but I don't know where to look.

His name is Han and he is on the 2nd floor of Manchon Emart. It is not on the subway line, but if you hop a cab and say Manchon Dong Emart, they know the way.

I know how to get there, in fact I was there today...but it was so busy I got frustrated and left after trying to find something that looked to be a travel agent.
Where is he on the second floor?
Thanks for the help.

Kangsan Travel has a Daegu branch.
Not sure where it is, but look on the website for a contact phone number.

Sorry about the late reply...he is on the second floor tucked in the opposite corner if you come up the escalators by the front door.
So go in, take a left, another left then a right up the escalators. When you get to the next floor up, go to the opposite corner of the store, across from the elevators. His desk is on the other side of cash registers, so you have to go through.

I have only done business with Han. He is a great fella. He once bought a ticket for one of his clients who was in an emergency to do a visa run on credit. Good guy. Will help you out if you need it. Runs a great tour to Beijing too!

There's also one on the 15th floor (I think) of the Migliore Bldg downtown who was helpful.

Yes! I forget the chap's name but I visited Fukuoka a few times using his agency. His English is pretty good.

Danny:
[email protected]

This may be the "Han" mentioned above. He took an English name a year or so ago. This guy is gold. He's gotten tickets when no one else could for me more than once. He's fast too. I highly recommend him.

Went to "Danny." He IS gold. We had planned on going to Japan but five minutes later he had us booked on a 4-trip to Beijing. Anyone else going this weekend? I can't wait, haven't been out of Korea since I got here in August.

He is no longer there. Migliore is closed.
Danny Jung is now with Hana Tour, on the second floor of Emart in <Manchon Dong.

There's a whole block of English speaking travel agents next to (the former) Migliore department store downtown. A good selection all in one place for price comparison.

Most of them can't speak nearly as well as Danny, or the agents at Kangsan. Also, I, and friends have had issues with their honesty...or lack of.
Recently, one friend tried to book a trip to HongKong. he questioned them about having sufficient time to process his VISA. They assured him they copuld do it in time for his trip. Not only could they not get his VISA done in time (2 weeks), but they wouldn't refund his money.

Glad it worked out Niagara. The Beijing tour rocks in the winter too. The weather is cold and keeps it all frest. Dress warm on the wall!
