Hulllloooo.

Right ok. Looking for jobs at the mo, I know I know it's the tail end and all that jazz but needs must. I've got a couple of offers I'm interested in but was wondering if anyone had any wisdom to help me decide.I was at a hagwon in the middle of nowhere on my own last year and am looking at public schools in seoul, and failing that a good hagwon in seoul with less hours than I was doing before. The Seoul part is the important bit at the mo. Yes right, one of the offers says it's in Mi-a-dong on line four, and I'm not sure whether this is actually a place or just a weird spelling of myeongdong? Also, anyone any idea where gangseogu is? Apparently in Seoul, but I know how much people like to stretch the boundaries of Seoul to cause me further disruption. Please do help, I'd love it.

Mia is a place. North-East Seoul. And yes, its on a subway line, between Miasamgeori and Suyu. The area is quite built up, departments stores, Outback, TGIF, etc. Probably 20 minutes into downtown.

I believe it's the name of a large district in West Seoul.

I used to be picky about only working in Seoul.

I have since worked in Ilsan and Hannam Cities, both Seoul Sattelites.

TO be honest all the things I worried about - it would be boring / no social life / difficult going into and returning from Seoul at weekends - turned out to be nonsense.

Well, getting back from Seoul after subways are closed on a sat night costs a bit more, but an extra 20,000 won on a taxi doesn't break the bank...

I barely notice much difference at all than when I lived in Seoul, except it's a bit cleaner, greener, quieter, more spacious and basics are slightly cheaper....
