I'm very, very scared. Everybody knows Unitel is a front for Al Qaeda.

Don't worry. It's probably an 'english practice' club trying to make sense of our drivel.

Worry. It's probably 'english-speaker target-practice' club aiming to end our drivel FOREVER.

Tuesday night I mostly just hang around and google myself. Tonight was no exception. But, lo! WTF is THIS?!?!?!?!
http://talk.unitel.co.kr/243078

A whole bunch of eslcafe posters names are written on this site, each with a little blurb next to them that says...uh...a bunch of korean stuff. I can read well enough but my vocabulary is terrible. Can anybody tell, please, why we are all on the unitel website? Or what Unitel is?
Here are some of the names I found there: Len8, kermo, seoulsucker, crazylemongirl, SPINOZA, rothkowitz, Ya-ta-Boy, jajdude, Qinella, Troll_Bait, meangradin...and more too.

I'm going to investigate. I'm fairly sure it's not a KCIA hit list, but at the risk of sounding repetitive, WTF?!?!?!?!?
I'm going to get a Korean friend to translate. Might take me a day though. Anybody know what this is about?

yeh, i've seen this before also -- but on another site.

and some other posters were listed on that one that didn't make this cut.

too lazy to read it all, but it's pretty harmless -- just the responses to the question of what korean expressions people usually use.

though i don't recognize the thread...

ROBT.

What do you mean, "the Korean they like?" The Korean person they like?

It's a summary of a thread you all participated in. The topic seems to be "Korean words or phrases that you commonly use." Below everyone's name is what they wrote. The parts in <brackets> seem to be the Korean words they use. Apparently harmless.

My woman also says she thinks the writer is a foreigner.

I think it highlights the fact that often these forums are checked out by native Koreans. Anyone posting threads here should consider whether it's wise to post stuff here that would likely anger Korean officials who may be inclined to use it against the expat community in general.

Aside from unnecessary bashing of Korean culture, I think that threads that brag about seducing Korean women and encourage illegal activities against employers and government agencies, etc., should be restricted to preserve our best common interests...

I voted fan club, and I'm disappointed not to be quoted.
Are there other similar compilations out there?

yeah the quote from me appears to be a direct translation. although, I don't think it captures the essence of my jab at service in Canada.

Quote:
a/s because Korean after-service really kicks ass over any service I didn't receive in Canada.

Now that's a euphemism I'd like to see used more.

The last time I googled myself (literally) I discovered I was an adjective. I've feeling like only a description of the man I once was ever since.
