I'm trying to help out my public school and have a question about the visa process. I am leaving the school and they are taking over the after-school English program and running it directly instead of through a shady middle-man director.

They would like to find a foreign teacher that can work part-time, 3 afternoons a week. I suggested hiring someone who is married to a Korean and doesn't have an E-2 visa (Is it F-2 or F-4?). The question I have is, if they find someone like this, what do they have to do with regards to immigration? Do they just have to report to immigration that the person is working for them?

If they find an F2 (married to a Korean) or an F4 (returning Korean) they have to do nothing in regards to immigration.
It is the same for all intents and purposes as hiring a Korean citizen.

I believe they have to register at the Ed. Office - that means they need to qualify.

Gamecock, you may want to add F-5 visa holders to your list. The F-5 is like an upgraded F-2 that you can get after you've had the F-2 for more than 2 years.

When I marry, a few of these gigs are exactly what I'd be stacking together (in addition to my own study-room situation at home with the wifey).

So that's it. You have decided to stay in Korea and marry a K-gal. No offense, but I find it strange that you are already planning your financial future with a wife you don't even have yet.

Sure having an F series visa is nice, but it is not a reason to get married. And if you do get married for an F visa, I would suspect that the marriage is not going to be a long one.

Once again, sorry no offense, but your post seems a little premature and comes off like an F visa is a factor in getting married. An F visa is the last thing you should be thinking about when you are deciding on whether to marry or not.
