|

I have a class of 14 adults that I want to play a murder mystery game with. The only problem I have is that I don't know how to play that game. Does anyone have experience with this or a link they could help me out with? Thanks in advance! |

If you get infos about that, please, let me know. I, too, would be interested to know about how to prepare and play that game. |

Homies
Try 'Mafia', this might be what you mean. Its a mystery identity card game. I played this a group of advanced middle school students and they really got into it. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone teaching less than advanced students but it is a pretty fun game and can get quite intense. There are a few variations, it might pay to read up on a few versions and tailor a game suitable for your group but either way its better than bookwork.

Thanks bro...checked it out but these are guys and gals that haven't studied English since university and are in their mid 30's ealry 40's - they're anything but advanced.
I'm looking for that mystery who dunnit kind of game where everyone gets some kind of a clue...the kind you play when you attend one of those dinner deals and you dress up etc.
Anyone? |

I think you are going to have to make it up yourself. Give everyone an easy "part", including one killer who should lie. Then let everyone ask 3 questions, allowing them to choose anyone in the group, and then maybe a secret ballot on who is the killer, and the winner(s) get something. I think it will take a little creative writing on your part. The first time would have to be a test run.
Or, maybe just let them play video Clue or something. |

I found a couple of sites that will sell the kits to "host" one you have to order them online but they might be useful.
The prices are in American dollars so I don't know how helpful they might be
on this one you can buy the script online and download it immeadiately:
http://www.murder-mystery-party-game.com/
this one also allows you to buy online and choose your set based on how many players. there are a lot of different genres available:

If you are talking about CLUEDO, then you can find the printable version of the game with rules, in the teaching folder on my site.
Just downloaded lots of good lesson plans from Biggs too, courtesy of someone else on this site who has started the sharing agenda.
