I want to ship some prescription medicine from the USA for personal use, and some websites I found say this about Korea:
- Import of prescription drugs is subject to approval of Health Ministry.
- Prescription drugs should be no more than 3 months' supply.
- Non-prescription drugs should be limited to 5 pieces of each item.
- Prohibited items: DHEA
I don't understand the first part. Do I have to go out of my way to get approval from the Health Ministry, or does it automatically approve most prescription medicine shipments when they arrive in Korea? Is there anything special I have to do? |

I've had insulin shipped over via the USPS Global Priority service with no problems in the past. My packages weren't even opened. Also had vitamins delivered from the US numerous times with no difficulties. Many/most prescription drugs are available in Korea so look into getting an rx for what you need from a local doctor. Good luck. |
