| Hi, does anyone know of any beginners Korean language course taking place in Cheonan or, for that matter, anywhere in Chungchongnam-do? I really want to start learning properly, but where I am in the countryside the only realistic option is self-study. |

Self study mate. I haven't had any luck finding a part time course near us. What a dire place we live
There are good materials out there for self study though.
I have 2 books:
Elementary Korean (ross king) I don't really recommend this one. Too much focus on grammar. Its targeted at actual students of the language..not us.
The name of my other book escapes me but it is good. Simple structure and easy to learn from. Cheap too. I'll let you know the name if you're interested. |

| How far are you from Cheongju? The YMCA here does lessons on a Saturday morning. |

| I think Korea Nazarene University offers a course. Sorry I don't have details. |

| Cheongju's too far away - I live in Hongseong. Do you know where the Nazarene University is? I also heard that they may offer a course at a Uni in Cheonan. |

| Some of my friends are taking a class at KNU. It's very early morning though...like 8:00 I think. PM me if you want their contact info. |

Thanks for the info guys. I am serious, but 8 in the morning would be difficult because I'd have to travel at least an hour to get there. If anyone knows of any courses in Chungchongnam-do starting 9 or later, I'll probably sign up straight away |
