OMFG! Shocked

You'd think after 3 kids she'd know the signs and would have made sure she was at the hospital so this didn't happen. I mean when the water breaks you have at least 30 mins (I think) if not more before the kid is born. Then again, I had a friend have her water break while she was sound asleep and didn't wake up for another hour or two until she realized the bed was wet. She figured she'd wet the bed, then the contraction hit Smile.

Another friend had her water break and then went shopping to get a crib, they still hadn't bought one. After they bought the crib, she went to the hospital.

Also the mother is only 24 and this birth was her 4th kid. That's a lot of kids at a young age, she has to be a little stressed. I wonder what the age gaps are? Oh well.

Newborn ends up in Pa. woman's pant leg 2 hours, 39 minutes ago

A woman gave birth to a boy outside a western Pennsylvania hospital, a delivery that happened so quickly that the infant wound up in the woman's pants.

"It happened so fast," Rebecca Johnson, 24, told the Daily Courier in Connellsville. "I didn't know what happened until he was in my pant leg."

Johnson had just gotten out of the car at Highlands Hospital in Connellsville and was still in the parking lot when her 5-pound, 15-ounce son, Mason Matthew Parkinson, arrived Wednesday.

An emergency room physician cut the umbilical cord in the parking lot, and doctors attended to Johnson until she could be taken to Uniontown Hospital, which has a maternity unit.

Mason, Johnson's fourth child, was doing well.

It's not as simple as that. Each pregnancy and each birth can be very different. She obviously knew she needed to get to the hospital, as she'd clearly arrived there.

True. I mean I've never been pregnant and I realize that sometimes things work against you but still having this happen just seems like poor planning or time management or something.

But anyways, Big_Bird I remember the thread a while ago when everyone was talking about their pregnancies. When are you due? Really soon here right? Do you have names picked out yet? Do you know if you are having a boy or a girl?

I was due on Wednesday, but bubba is way too cosy and doesn't want to come out yet. If he doesn't come out of his own accord on the weekend, they're going to induce the birth on Monday (and he could be born Monday or Tuesday).

I think it's a boy, but I don't know for sure. My husband knows. I got the ultrasound technician to write it on paper and fold it. I gave it to my husband but made him promise to always call it 'he' so that I wouldn't know. But when he read the paper he looked a touch disappointed, which indicated to me that it was not the little girl he'd been dreaming about. So I guess it's a boy! I'll find out soon though!

We've thought of names, but we're still not 100% sure.

BJWD,

You should go work at Walmart, you are so good at labeling.......and not much good for much else. That's pretty low.

You know, you remind me of a quote that says this world is not divided along the political spectrum by left or right or communism / capitalism but by those who have class and those without. You certainly know what end of the stick you hold.

Please stop getting your kicks through the jollification process of which you have swallowed. It might work on late night TV but nowhere else.....please apply there, not here.

With each pregnancy you just never know what is going to happen. With my first daughter my water broke at the hospital and I still had 12 more hours of labour. With my second my water broke at home and 2 hours later I had her in my arms. Good thing it was Sunday or Haeyoon would have been born in traffic. Laughing

Congrats Anae! I remember you being on the "who's pregnant thread". Did this delivery go better? I sort of remember you saying the first delivery was not friendly? Sorry but I can never tell gender from Korean names, did you have a girl or a boy? Congratulations again Very Happy.
