please help a poor idiot!
i deleted my "BaseSystem.pkg" file from my hardrive library receipts while cleaning house.
evidently it is essential for running disk utility permissions check.
all i need is a copy from someone who is running the same updated OSX as me, which is 10.4.8
i would greatly appreciate someone who can give me a copy. please post reply or pm me
you can locate the file in your hardrive directory--> library--> receipts--> "BaseSystem.pkg"

I thought macs were idiot proof.

hey thanks for those of you sent me a response.
i just got a copy over email.
geez, that was a headache!
moral of the story: don't go cleaning house on library files unless you are certain they are really inconsequential!
