A look at what we aren't seeing in the war on TV or in print. And why.

What the war really looks like... almost.

Also check out the Iraq footage on liveleak.com. It's horrifying how much US troops are sitting ducks out there. IED that look like rocks? How is a surge going to stop that, short of simply putting all Iraqi males to the sword.

A fine war Bush created for the American voter.

Here's a great one of Bush trying to win the hearts and minds:

Farmer minding his own business, GIs in a humvee lob a flash grenade into the middle of his flock. Chock up another Iraqi sympathetic to the insurgency. Don't these idiots realize the next time one of them catches a bullet it's because of stuff like this?

MM2, I think it is us vs. them now. Too many Americans have died and that bitterness will run deep in the soldiers minds. The Iraqis, I can only assume, are emotionally numb to violence as well.

America must withdraw and go home. This time, stay home. Buy your oil from Alberta and allow the muslims to have the civil war they want and need.

Lying to the world the Bush admin. have done it themselves.

If he is not impeached & the executives in his noble administration NOT indicted as the worst kind of cowardly war criminals,
the "LAW" loses all credibility ... duh ...

I just finished watching this and I am numb. A very sobering video which adroitly addresses the issue of "keeping the war an arms length away". It shouldn't be kept away and the only good democracy is an informed democracy - informed of the good and bad. The press is not doing its job, mostly through its own form of self censorship. '

The other part of the hidden war, is the hidden imprisonment of hundreds of innocents, in prisons throughout the world. Given no hope of ever even having a trial, facing Kafkian conditions and never knowing anything of their families (or their families of them) -- they are slowly killing themselves to death. Despicable.

I posted a very thorough article in the NY Review of books on how hidden away are these men. Given no hope even of meeting their accuser and hearing the evidence, the story against them.

No Exit. http://www.nybooks.com/articles/19853

Thanks for the video, necessary viewing, numbing or not.

The American political system needs a parliamentary style Question Period. The American system's short coming is it leaves the job of asking the President the tough questions to corporate media.
