It sounds to me like the guy says, 'You are a coward, a liar and a thief". He deserved a punch.
Maybe there is a classier response to insults like that, but at minimum the guy deserved what he got. When you denigrate a person's life work by calling him 'a coward, a liar and a thief', I don't think you should be surprised when people react with anger. It's justified.
Sitting in your apartment, hiding under a blanket while you fantasize about conspiracies while beating your meat does not give you the right to say whatever you want about anyone to anyone. |

Listen here bub. All I did was post a link for a video. I don't even live in an apartment. |

Ummm....ermmm...That was the generic, general (plural) 'you' that I used. Something tells me that you (singular) are a little bit sensitive on this point of hiding under a blanket....
Is there something you should be telling us?
MANY people here say (in public) that 'self abuse' is not wrong. |

Especially a person who claims to be religious (he read from Genesis while allegedly on the moon...) should be able to tolerate personal insults without reacting violently...
Maybe he doesn't like to be asked about a possible conspiracy with respect to the moon landing, but he has made statements supporting those who think that there's a conspiracy to cover-up UFO sightings ...
Here is Aldrin talking about that on YouTube:

MAN ON MOON: WE SAW A UFO
Astronauts' close encounter
By Mike Swain
THE first men to walk on the Moon reported seeing a UFO, a new TV documentary reveals.
Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the Moon's surface after Neil Armstrong, says space agency bosses covered up their sighting.
And the Apollo 11 astronauts were also careful not to talk about it openly.
He said: "There was something out there, close enough to be observed, and what could it be?..
"Now, obviously the three of us weren't going to blurt out, 'Hey, Houston, we've got something moving alongside of us and we don't know what it is, you know?..http://www.netscape.com/viewstory/2006/07/24/buzz-aldrin-reports-seeing-ufo-during-moon-landing-and-fixing-lunar-module-with-a-ballpoint-pen/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailyrecord.co.uk%2Fnews%2Ftm_objectid%3D17435592%26method%3Dfull%26siteid%3D66633%26headline%3Dman-on-moon--we-saw-a-ufo--name_page.html&frame=true |

Next time at least extend the courtesy of letting me know that you (singular) are using the (plural) you. Thanks! |

You couldn't work that out on your own??
How old is Buzz now?? There was a similar incident on Australian TV when two old boys went at it over their respective positions on the Vietnam war. Lesson is... don't mess with old boys, they wont think twice about whomping you one.
Hamer, where did you meet the second man on the film lot?? |

I saw Buzz speak. He came across as a combination of a Bill O'reilly and a decent drinking buddy. Strange combo. |

This video is awesome. I was just wondering what happened to ol' Buzz. I'm even more concerned with what's his face- the guy left on orbiting around the moon on Apollo 11- Michael Collins, I think? So close and yet so far away...

I'm really glad Buzz hit that guy.
I saw him a few years ago doing a reading from some fantasy/militarist wet-dream book he'd written. Anyway, people weren't interested in the book, they just wanted him to talk about his pilot and astronaut days. So, he was talking about dogfighting Russian jet-pilots in the Korean war...MIGS against F4's, I think it was.
He said all the pilots and brass knew that they were going against Russians flying Korean colors, but as the idea of American boys being shot down by Russians would've made the public back home really mad, and maybe push things from proxy-war to open-war, they were ordered to keep quiet about it.
It'd since been declassified, though, so he was able to talk openly about it.
Anybody else hear anything about covert Russian involvement in the Korean War? I'd never heard anything about Russian fighter-pilot involvement, before or since. |

Well-known that russian pilots flew in the korean war. Check the wiki article. I never thought it was disputed. |

That was a real nice puch from a little old guy to a big you guy. I'll bet old Buzz enjoyed that.
Fighter pilots aren't known for their gentle attitutdes and, Hollywood aside are usually little guys.
If he was a pilot in the Korean war he was flying F86s against Mig 15s. Pretty close to equal technology. |
