|
|
Question for the Ansan residents - what's up with the buses here? Every bus goes through same neighborhood (or so it seems), yet none of them go where I want to go. I can get from my home (Sa 1 Dong) to close to work (Seong P'o Dong) but not quite all the way. I can get down to Star Plaza, and that's an easy enough walk.
I've tried using the offiial website, but it's of limited use. The route maps are waaaayy out of date (they show route 62 as going exactly where I need to - but it doesn't) so I question the usefulness of the rest of the info on the site. Anyone know of a better resource for local bus info?
Also, does anybody know of a good way to get from Ansan to Bundang? The subway takes nearly two hours, which is absurd considering what the actual distance is. Is there a way to go from here to Suwon to Bundang? Or maybe from here to Geumjeong to Bundang? I'm close to Handaeap station and the Ansan bus terminal (across from Home Plus) if that helps.
One last thing. I've seen a bus that runs from her to Kangnam, but don't know where to catch it. Anybody know? Or is it better to just take the train?
Thanks in advance. |

You can catch the bus to Gangnam in front of the ... Au Ciel? Au Nature.... dunno, the ice cream store. It's on the road a block up from Sangnoksu station. The street with the Lotte Lemon on it.
Think the Ansan bus terminal near the Home Plus has a bus to Bundang.
And my coworker has a book with the Ansan bus maps in it... Personally, I just take the train to the nearest spot I want to get to and walk from there. Ansan's pretty small. |

I've been here in Ansan since June but hardly ever use the buses. I just know the ones for my dong and just take them to Sangnaksu.
I just know a couple buses.
909 - goes to Suwon, not sure where after that.
301 - goes to Yeongdopo (not sure of spelling) which is a subway stop in Seoul.
Other than that, with the inter-dong Ansan buses, I couldn't tell you what to take.
Beck, where abouts in Ansan are you?? I'm near 1-dong, close to Sangnaksu.

Thanks for the website.
Just to let you know, there is a K teacher at my school who commutes 3-4 hours per day from Pundang to Ansan. I don't know how she does it.
We Ansan foreigners outta get together sometime!

Cool. I'm not too far from Sangnoksu. Any idea how long the bus to Gangnam takes?
I've been in the terminal and checked. No Bundang bus.
Do you know where your coworker got the bus map book? That could be a pretty handy thing to have, assuming they don't change the routes too often. |
