The models suggest 1,000 will be enough for face recognition, and we hope to get there in five to seven years.

So it starts.. Give it 30 years and I think cyborgs will be a common day word. Maybe in 50 years people will voluntarily replace human body parts.

Yea, cyborism. It's becoming reality. This is where you are part robot and part human. It can come in an infinate variety of flavors. It might be a limb that makes electric motor noises while it helps its' user eat or a full body of servo motors humming along under that polyestor or vinyl suit of half fake/half real you to carry your brain furthur. Think about the movies; Robots, Robocop, and many others.

The conflict of interest with cyborbism is all these rich old people will be beautiful, but artificial things with thier aging crusty human brain encased in an artificial vessel that is a machine of technological wonders while the less than rich will be struggling more than ever so the rich can be ever more priveledged. (Anyone see frustrated poor breaking these things when they see and hear one walking down the street?)

Keep in mind, that these crusty old financially gifted minds could be me and you in the future as we will be old and crusty someday, providing that we live that long. About the rich part, that remains to be seen.

I envision all these rich old people getting their brain transferred to an artificial machine of anthropromorphic form that walks and talks like any character it's buyer want it to be. (most likely a young adult)

Dang, I hope I will be a rich old fart to get a nice upgrade when the time calls for it...
Could you imagine running around like you were 20, but yet your 65? Could you imagine being near perfect? Could you imagine achieving near immortality? I sure bet it's possible to achieve in about 10 to 20 years from now.... Who knows what is coming about, all we know that it's fueled by wealth, desire, and a human need to be more perfected in our lives and achieve more.
