Is it possible?
I've never booked a trip with a stop-over before... sure I've switched planes but my waiting has all been confined to the airport...
Since, I'm leaving Korea however it turns out one of my friends isn't back from his secondment, so I'd obviously like to check in with him and exp. some of the high life SC are providing him while he's out there for them before returning home... another friend suggested stopping over but I don't know where to start or what to expect
Thanks |

| I normally book flights online, but with a stop over it is best to talk to a travel agent. On Asia routes arranging a stop over is not very expensive (as opposed to North America). Give the travel agent your desired itinerary and expect to pay about 75,000 won more for the stop over. |

| a lot of times what you can do is to book the trip with a stop of a few hours where you would like to stay, and then once the flight is booked pay the fee to change the second part of your trip. It is often not very expensive, but make sure you talk to your travel agent to find out the cost and to make sure it is possible before hand. |

| some airlines offer free stopovers on certain routes: cathay pacific sometimes will give you a free stop in HK; malaysia in KL and singapore in singapore. best to talk it out with an agent ...not sure about thai. |

Yes, that's what I was going to say - fly with Thai Air. They normally have some of the cheapest fares around for flying out of Korea, anyway. |

Most major carriers will give free or relatively nexpensive stopovers in their hub cities. Therefore if you fly Seoul to London on Thai they will likely allow a stopover in BKK, or HKK with Cathay, Dubai with Emirates, etc.
Middle east carriers are pretty good for stopovers, at least when dealing with flights to/from UK and asia. |
