I have permission to add a part time job to my current E2 visa - what are my options as far as a second job go???

I have been offered a great little morning job - problem being its kindergarten - 5 different locations - Mon. thru Friday.

They are trying to go through the legal channels - but they seem to be having troubles.

Is this kind of job possible for an E2?

I dont want to work illegally as i have permission from my boss - but the hours and money are really good with this particualr position.

I guess its possible, but you have to get each location put on your file. And pay a fee for each locale. It would be a bit of a hassle, but you only have to do it once, I guess. Don't do it unless you get it legalized by immi though.

You can get kindy added to your visa. Kat2 is right, you have to pay for each location and file the paperwork for each location too. It may be a bit much for immi, there could possibly be a limit, but I don't know.... Anyone know if there is a limit to additions on your E-2?

It must be really good pay for you to still be willing to go to 5 different locations each week!!! Holy crap thats a lot!!!

The immi oficer might think it's too much work on his part and say "No!!! Can't be done".

You never know with immi officers.

The thing I was concerned about is that only "approved" businesses can sponsor an E2. Just because you have a K friend with a gimbab shop, doesn't mean he can sponsor your visa. I think the schools have to be registered with the local gu/dong/education office (not sure), as an English teaching school. This is why I'm not sure if you can get a visa or not. Can't you get the prospective employer to call immi?

Yeah - I have tried to called immigration - but nobody seems to be in the offices - or bothering to pick up the phone.

As i already have an E2 visa - i guess i dont need sponsoring - but I beleive that the kindies need to be registered as businesses to be able to be added onto my visa - ?????

Anybody know the number for Incheon immigration - i have 032-890-3600

Cheers

The place that you want to add to your E2(in this case a general Korean kindy) has to be liscenced to have foreigners teaching in its school for you to work there.....

In this situation i highly doubt it is and unless the kindergarten can get a liscence(which i am unsure how easy or difficult it can be) then you won't be able to teach there.....

I was going to work at a kindy last year but the cost and hassle must have been to much because when immigration told them that their premises isn't able to have foreigners teaching in it without being liscenced they dropped it.
