Does this, or does this not sound like good ol' CPA:

Korea's Kimchi

Kimchi is most representive food.

Korean eats rice and another foods.

The another foods mean that dishes to go with the rice.

Kimchi is Korean traditional food and it has many kinds.

Most of Kimchies are spicy except some.

When we make Kimchi, we put garlic.

So I think some Americans don't like Kimchi but some do.

It's made of the Chinese white cabbage.

Koreans eat rice with other foods.

Other foods are Kimchi, salted fish guts, Bulgogi, etc.

Every time Koreans eat rice, there is always Kimchi (except sometimes).

So if you go to korea, I would suggest you to taste Kimchi.

Found it on the N.east Asia thorn tree at lonely planet's website today.

I'm not sure. I think CPA would've put in a line at the end about us all going to hell for not eating enough kimchi...

As I recall, cpa's grammar was usually correct, unlike this guy's:

Quote:
Korean eats rice and another foods.

Quote:
The another foods mean that dishes to go with the rice.

It's him though. He's just trying to throw us off the scent. Laughing

Cpa was this guy who was posting earlier this year. He wrote what were basically glowing reports of Korean life, but never identified himself as being Korean. I don't hink he is the same guy who wrote the kimchee thing, unless he is deliberately using bad grammar.

Kiwiboy, here is one of cpa's better posts. I did a search and found it just for you.

"Before I came to Korea, people warned me to take care when I cross the street.

They said many Korean drivers drive erratically. Too fast and not safe.

But I have found the opposite to be true. Most of them drive well.

But the real difference is road rage. The US is plagued with road rage and it's getting worse everyday.

People are dying all the time after getting into fights, sometimes gun battles after road rage incidents. I don't know the number of injuries/deaths but it's growing.

I have seen some bad Korean drivers, especially new drivers. But in general it's no problem.

I hope road rage does not start in Korea. And I don't think it will. After all, people are so polite to turn off their headlights so as not to blind another driver at a red light."

Wow, I must have joine after this genius's heyday. Clearly Korean, and either insane or just plain old racist chip on shoulder. Thanks for the reference work Corp, I'll make it worth your while at the staff party.

Yeah, the grammar is bad, which isn't a CPA trait. However the short sentences and general tone were on par with him/her. If someone is copying his/her style, they did a pretty fine job of it. The example Corporal gave is very similar to the kimchi post.

CPA would have written on about how Kimchi makes Korean women's skin soft and American women's skin hairy or something. Yeah, and the whole Koreans are thin and handsome because of kimchi and American fat and ugly because there is no Kimchi and would then pity Americans for not having Kimchi...

Actually, in one of his first posts he claimed to be a Western teacher.

As moderators we weren't sure what to do about the guy for a long time. He had a habit of starting inflammatory threads and then not responding to the inevitable replies/rebuttals. He'd start several topics each day. He'd rarely make any posts at all that weren't OPs.
