greetings and salutations,

just wondering if someone could tell me where and more importantly WHAT the 'gorilla' restaurant in apujeong is? Not sure if Apujeong is the location, though. All I know is that the name has gorilla (or some other primate) in it and it's in Seoul. Location isn't overly important, but what it serves is.

thanks.

Maybe it's the one with King Kong climbing up the side. It's near Cine City (I think that's the name) and the health club (the big one). My gf pointed it out to me once:

A: Look, it thekingkong.

B: Sorry?

A: There is kingkong.

B: Oh, yes, I see. It's King ... Kong.

come on, people.

I was told this was a HOT restaurant and no one's been there....

The rumour mill is never wrong! Someone must know something about it?

Gorilla in the Kitchen. Was there in Sept. or October. We were a group of 5 expats. Place overlooks the Dosan Park so the views are nice, but supposedly healthy food was boring and bland. I had some sort of grilled fish, really can't remember. If you must go book a table on the first floor as I was told acoutics are horrendous on the second (All concrete and glass interior if I can trust my failing memory). Prices are hefty (35K/px with just entree and water). Was told that TV actor with strange hair (Bae Yong-jun??) owned the place.

I went there when it first opened, and I won't be going back in a rush. Overated, overpriced, and most importantly the food was mediocre at best.
