Ok, the title is a joke...
A friend sent me this. He's a filipino, so at first I thought it was just his spelling, but when I was finished, I thought it was pretty cool.

"Cna yuo raed tihs?

Olny 55% of plepoe can.

I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but teh wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! if y ou can raed tihs forwrad it to yuor firend and cechk if tehy can too."

Yeah, I've seen that one before, and thought it was pretty cool. The mind is an amazing thing.

Hehehee, yep, I stumbled a bit this time, but faced with the same thing in my native language I hardly noticed the letters were jumbled.

55% is BS. If I can read through this not being a native speaker, then so can just about anybody litterate. On the other hand I'm not sure if the way the letters are jumbled is completely random. The longer words seem to retain part of their structutre. It's probably possible to make this much harder to read.

If you can bother, try to put 1st letter + all the vowels + all the consonants + last letter. Should be more of a challenge.

Edit: idle thought... I wonder if this trick would work in korean. Methinks not.

The scrambled words wig me less than your avatar, Quinella. Correct angle, wrong cat. It's messing with my head.
