|

| I live just south of Bucheon and have a friend flying in to town. There is no express buses from my area to the airport - would have to go to Bucheon first. I know that a taxi fare to the Inchon Express Bus Terminal from my place costs about W9000, how much would a taxi cost to get to the airport? Im in Siheung City |

Dunno--depends on time of day, among other things. From Songnae station, on line one to Seoul, it's about 40 000. look at yourself on a map--see how far you are from the expressways--try to make a guess based on that I guess.
Best bet is probably to have your friend get a bus to the incheon terminal and then taxi to your place. |

| I can't recall if the red 111 bus goes past Bucheon, but it sure goes to Bupyong. From there, it's about an hour and 15 mins to the airport, costing less than 5,000 won. |

If you've got the time, you could take a taxi to the ferry. The ferry to Wolmido. A taxi to the Incheon subway station. The subway to the Incheon Bus Terminal. A taxi from there to Siheung. Although it probably wouldn't be any cheaper (and certainly much longer) than taking the bus to Incheon and the taxi from there. But it'd be more scenic.
BTW, the airport subway will probably be open in a few weeks, if you're actually planning that far ahead.
Edit: looking at the map, taking a taxi from the Incheon Bus Terminal (rather than Dongmak) will probably be shorter. I'd still suggest taking the ferry if you have time. It's a nice ride and Wolmido is interesting.
The 111 (and probably several other Incheon airport buses) also stops by the Bus Terminal and costs around W3,600.
Siheung is just southeast of Incheon, BTW.

I remember reading that the airport subway was opening in mid-March, maybe the 13th? When it does, it'll connect to the Incheon line, Gyeyang station at the far north end of the line, and then just take that down south to wherever and then jump a cab to Shiheung. Follow Huff's directions at that point. I'm not exactly sure where Shiheung is.

Let me guess, to get on the airport subway. You must take another taxi, then bus, and then subway, and walk a few km. Then take a connecting flight from Gimpo and finally you're in the airport subway terminal. |

Addendum #2:
It looks like a lot of buses from Incheon stop in Ansan, which would probably be closer to you.
Check this web page:
http://www.ictr.or.kr/eng/guide/cross_use.asp
Note that Ansan isn't listed as a destination, but a lot of buses stop there on the way to somewhere else. So you'll just have to find it on another route first. Price is W2,000. |
