|
|
My friend took his dog to the vet for routine vaccinations here in Korea. Everything was going great and then the vet took the dog's temperature from the dog's rear end.
Okay, sounds normal to me, but then after he read the temperature (which was normal) the vet sniffed the thermometer
- I am totally serious !!!!
So, after I laughed my head off, I concluded that he perhaps was checking for a smell of infection or something of that nature ...
Is this something that is unique to vets here in Korea or is this something they do everywhere. I have had lots of pets in Canada, but I never saw my vet doing that !!! |

My guess: it's unique to your vet. Mine has never done that. Your vet does not represent all Koreans. |

Immediately upon reading the thread title, the first thing I thought of was someone sticking something up an animal's ass. Thanks for not letting me down! |

That's an interesting response.
That seems like a profound statement about Korean society and culture AS IT IS PRESENTED (to others).
That comment really hits a particular nail on the head.
Well done. An extraordinarily accurate reflection. |

reminds of me of a kid who scratches his ass and then sniffs his fingers... or of someone who loves the smell of his own farts. both are olfactory delights! |

Reminds me of SNL's "superstar"
"And sometimes I like to jam my fingers into my armpits, and then smell them, like this <ahhhhh>" |

When I read the thread title, I thought it was going to be a story like, "Sorry but your dog is very sick and will die soon, but the good part is that it's still good for eatin'." |

Why don't you try to give it up-say what it is, big boy, and we'll see if I'm getting it, or not. |
